About the author

I write under the name, Penelope. In late 2025, my debut novel, The Last Petal, was published. I am currently in the process of publishing another novel, the first in a planned fantasy series, with even more on the horizon. I live on the east coast of North Carolina, where beach life meets spreadsheets. By day, I work as a tax accountant with a fondness for math and the order of operations. By night I'm a dreamer, writer, and storyteller. I have dabbled in countless hobbies, cheerfully admitting to being “mediocre at best,” but writing is where I have truly found my passion.

At home, I share my life with my loving husband, two children, and our dog. While creating characters who live extraordinary lives on the page, I am glad to live an exceptionally ordinary one with my family. As I like to say, I embrace the extraordinary through my stories, and The Last Petal marked the first step of that journey.
